The Columbus Crew are a bunch of clowns all of a sudden. Last week the defending MLS champs dominated Toronto for most of the game -- only to watch Gino Padula score a hilarious own goal that somehow managed to hit the crossbar and 'keeper Will Hesmer's back before trickling into the net. Then last night Hesmer brought the yucks. He parried Will Johnson's blast straight to the feet of Robbie Findley for the first goal. Then he gifted Findley a second with a botched clearance that set up the bewildered striker all alone at the top of the box. Findley should send the guy a box of Fruit Loops or something. Then to cap off the clown show they brough in Steven Lenhart. Last year the Crew could do no wrong; this year they can't get anything right. Now Chivas on the road after just two days off.
